Release schedule for Codium?

[mvdkleijn]

I was just trying to figure out what the release schedule is for Codium?

Since VSCode is at 116, I'd have expected Codium to be at least at 113 already? Just wondering!

Sorry, following the axios incident, I wasn't affected by it but, I've decided to improve my projects security.

For VSCodium, it means:

• workflows need to pass zizmor linting which requires:
  • separate build for PR/branch from build for release
  • use of environments to manage secrets
• add a delay/cooldown to the auto-update
  • configurable by a setting
  • by default, it will be a 7 days delay

Not a problem! Considering the state of the world, that's entirely fair. 😊 I was just curious.

Seeing that VScodes release tact since February has completely gone crazy, i would like to propose a tact change for new Codium releases. At the minimum monthly. Ideas:

1. I thought about something in the way of a regular skipping of X releases so we have maybe two month steps.
2. Another way could be to pick just "important" releases, so to speak, which bring something to the table.
3. Also irregular, but wait simply to the point where the last official releases aggregated enough new content.

Came just to mind. Greets
