Hi. Following the documented path (publish to the official registry first, then request curation), I'd like to nominate canli-mcp for the GitHub MCP Registry.

• Official registry id: io.github.arhancanli/canli-mcp, version 0.3.0, status active (published 2026-10-11).
• What it is: an open-source finance MCP server that puts 306 tools behind three (find_tool, describe_tool, run_tool). It covers:
  • SEC filings and full-text search;
  • insider trades, 13F holdings and 13D/13G holders, fund and ETF portfolios;
  • FINRA short interest, CFTC positioning, Cboe delayed options chains;
  • FOMC decisions and FRED, World Bank and OECD data;
  • quant analytics: 235 tools checked against QuantLib, statsmodels, arch, TA-Lib, scipy and pandas;
  • backtest validation.

• Transport and auth:
  • stdio, run locally with npx -y canli-mcp;
  • no authentication or API key for the default packs;
  • optional Alpaca or Tiingo keys for US stock prices;
  • the paper-trading pack stays off unless Alpaca paper keys are set, and live keys are refused.

• Privacy: it runs on the user's machine and talks only to the public sources it reads (SEC, Treasury, FRED, FINRA, CFTC, Federal Reserve, BLS, BEA, Census, OECD, World Bank, Cboe, and Yahoo's public chart data for prices). It sends nothing to us and logs nothing. CANLI_OFFLINE=1 keeps only the packs that use no network.

Working example (the published 0.3.0 after a fresh npm install, over stdio):

tools/list returned the three front tools:

run_tool is not marked read-only, because the optional paper-trading pack can place paper orders. Those tools refuse to run inside a batch, and every other tool is read-only.

The benchmarks behind the README's figures (a coverage map against other finance servers, the context measurement, a hostile-input sweep of every tool) are in mcp-canli/bench. Happy to provide anything else the curation needs.
