I build the backend of Lune, a hiring platform where people prove ability through proctored assessments instead of claiming it on a CV. I care most about the parts that only matter once real traffic arrives: the schema, the async pipelines, and what happens when a provider goes down.

• Lune: hiring built on verified evidence. Proctored assessments, portable Skill Passports, a gig marketplace with escrow, and hiring pipelines on one Django backend. Launched July 2026, 200+ users.
• Smart ATS: an AI career tool that reached 300+ job seekers on its own and now runs inside Lune as its CV builder and resume screening. The CV builder cannot invent facts: a deterministic parse overrides the model on anything checkable.
• Eventraka: finds, deduplicates and enriches events from many sources instead of waiting for organisers to post them. Django, FastAPI, PostGIS, Meilisearch. Early access.
• JechSpace: workspace booking with two-way Google Calendar sync. Concurrent bookings are resolved server-side with atomic locks. Third place at a hackathon.
• Vidannotate: a CLI that turns a video into a timestamped written record. Whisper transcribes locally and the transcript is given to the model as ground truth, so it quotes what was said.
• Spotter Fuel Route: a US driving route with cost-optimal fuel stops from one external API call. Stations are geocoded offline at import, so the request path is in-memory NumPy.
• Telex Monitor: reports MySQL health into a team's existing chat on a schedule, so there is no separate dashboard to open. FastAPI, MySQL, webhooks.
• RemoSphere: a job board API with JWT auth, ownership-scoped deletes and public Swagger docs. Built during ALX ProDev Backend.

• Four AI providers sit behind circuit breakers, with a separate chain for embeddings, because vectors from different models are not comparable and mixing them quietly corrupts retrieval.
• A subscription downgrade cancels at the payment provider first and aborts if that is not confirmed. The earlier path reported success while the card kept being charged.
• Every AI path has a deterministic fallback. If all providers are down, the request still returns a structured result instead of a 500.

I contributed to the Fedora Project during the Outreachy May 2026 contribution phase, working on Ramalama's RAG pipeline. I was not selected for the internship; the contributions are in the public issue threads.

I founded Algorithmia SE, which began as an ALX study group and is now a 1,000+ member open source engineering community. Smart ATS started there.
