Markdown and other long text can now reach MCP tools and HTTP APIs directly from UTF-8 files or stdin with --text-file field=path. --raw field writes a result string exactly, preserving indentation, line endings and terminal newlines. Existing JSON input and output remain compatible, and Meet is included in app discovery.

Invalid field paths and conflicting inputs fail before a write. Declared output schemas reject impossible raw selections before execution; if selection fails after a successful request, the error preserves its receipt and identifies the success. HTTP errors retain server details and the actual HTTP status.

Validation: vp run check passes, including 204 tests and the rebuilt committed CLI bundle. The tests protect exact source transfer, safe nested paths, compatibility, stdin errors and failed output selection around writes. The independent final review found no remaining defects; CodeRabbit's accepted stdin error finding is fixed and its thread resolved.

Release after the app's Markdown export and Work notes-version contract are live. Pages Markdown export is a reading projection; updates continue to use typed block content.

--text-file <field>=<path> puts a file's exact UTF-8 text, or stdin with -,
in one dotted field of a call or api input. Unsafe, duplicate, overlapping
or existing fields, missing array items and competing stdin readers are
usage errors before anything is sent. --raw <field> prints one text field of
the result exactly, or nothing on stdout when it is not text. API errors
keep the server's details. Meet joins the apps.

--raw now refuses before sending when the MCP tool's output schema or the
API's response schema proves the field can never be text. It reads only what
a schema proves: types, closed properties, array items, local refs and
unions whose every branch rules it out. MCP tools are listed only with --raw.
When a request succeeded but its field is not text, the error says so and
keeps the full result under "result" with "succeeded": true. API errors keep
the response's own HTTP status over a status in the body.

📝 Walkthrough

The CLI adds --text-file and --raw options for tool calls and API requests. It preserves exact text input, checks declared schemas before sending requests when they rule out text output, and reports raw extraction failures after successful requests without discarding their results. API errors include HTTP status and preserve response details. Fulldev Meet is added to the app catalog and related documentation.
