The compiler still scheduled an empty debug-message removal pass on both backends. Remove the no-op pass and its progress entries, keeping stacktrace suppression unchanged.
Also remove abandoned commented implementations and debug scaffolding, correct misleading comments and stale references, and normalize prose punctuation.
Validation: 788 tests across 15 focused classes passed on Windows, with no failures or skips; git diff --check passed. Linux and macOS remain unverified. Existing compiler/static-analysis warnings remain.
